you played it to the beat {adele live}

I have really wanted to write more on my blog this week but haven't brought myself to do it. It's been a week of ups and downs, life-changing thoughts to process...and you will find out more about that later. But for now, let's focus on Friday...always a great day!

If you haven't been listening to Adele, then I have no idea how you are getting by from day to day.

My friend Kyle Taubken gave me her first album, 19, during a file swap we did back in 2008. I loved it so much, thanks to her haunting vocals and lyrics. Thanks to her second album, 21, she scored a 'Tiny Desk Concert' on NPR. I discovered these at the beginning of this year, and I love them. You can download the podcast of the concerts on iTunes or the website for free...which means free live music for your listening pleasure.

You're welcome.

NPR is one of my favorite websites to look at....does that make me hip?

Even if you don't have 15 minutes to watch the actual video provided by clicking 'get the link' underneath the podcast below, you should play it and just listen to it while you are busy around the house.  Her voice is magnificent.

I tried to get tickets to her U.S. tour but I couldn't work it out. Needless to say, that depresses me. She's one of those true talents (unlike T. Swift-sorry guys, I like her first album, but I'm a hater on her live performances) where she sounds better live than on a produced album.

But I do recommend watching it because I love her fake eyelashes and cute little British accent {especially at the end}. Enjoy and Happy Friday!
